Solihull 5 Basingstoke 6. Overtime win for the Cougars. Good game Solihull were slow and didn't take advantage of the goalie situation. Great keeping by the Cougars temporary keeper no 91 at the start of the game. Saved 3 or 4 certain goals.

Last Nights Game : Solihull 7 Solent 8 good end to end hockey with both teams iceing 9 / 10 players each. Solihull are a good bunch of lads played fair and well last night only 1 silly moment in the game but we say anymore about the headbutt.Well done to both teams for a good hard clean game.

we charge £2.50 at swindon to help us afford to play the sport we all love, when you factor in, Ref costs, security, MOM beers, of ice help etc, it all adds up. Hockey fans want to watch hockey at almost every level and if you put on a good show, why not!!. When you consider ENL will cost you £5+ to watch and some of their games are real bad, dont feel just because we sit under the "REC" banner,our hockey is any worst. Saying that bristol Ice rink could do with a major facelift and some extra lighting, plus a scoreboard that actually turns up to the games!!!!

One of them Games Smitty that i think neither teams really wanted to play but hey good win on your guys part take nothing from you guys worked hard allnight and just wore our 9 guys down ......... Again we pay the price for short numbers but unlike some teams we still turn up to take part. Didnt agree with fans having to pay £3 to watch when you cant even see through the plexi but hey i know that was not down to you persoanlly!
I can agree slightly with paying it at Swindon as the view is great and you get your moneys worth but how fans can pay full price for games when the visability is poor really.
Anyway good luck for the rest of the Cup!

Tim, do you have a fax number where I can send gamesheets to you? I will ensure I do this after each home game.
If England hadn't messed up against USA and Algeria, the 2nd round game would have been on Saturday. As it is the match starts at 3pm so we could get to Bristol early and watch the game in a bar before our hockey match starts at 5.30pm. Not sure that's a good idea, but at least we can blame the alcohol for a possible poor performance. Have some faith, we'll see the whole game.....England don't need extra time and penalties....do we??????
